Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) is one of the healthiest, most invigorating water sports in the world, but, like most things that are worthwhile, it takes a little time and effort to learn how to properly do it. Proper stroke technique and stance can mean the difference between an enjoyable, memorable paddle, and an exhausting, uncomfortable one. And, believe me, if you’re doing it wrong, your body is going to let you know!

We at Aqua Vida strongly recommend that anyone taking up the sport start out with still-water lessons from a qualified, WPA-certified instructor. In this way, you’ll learn balance and technique that will serve you well whether you choose to ride waves, compete in races or simply paddle for leisure.

When you paddle with us, our qualified, WPA-certified instructors will teach you:

  • Safety on the water
  • Familiarity with SUP equipment
  • Safe methods of carrying your equipment
  • Basic paddle strokes and turns
  • Correct stances on the board
  • Using the paddle for stability
  • Advanced strokes for turning and catching waves

Aqua Vida offers single or group tours, guaranteed to get you to catch the SUP bug! So come Stand Up Paddleboard NJ and Stand Up Paddleboard Philadelphia with us!
